I haven' t had it for a week, so no great experience yet. NTB works and looks great.
I was surprised by the quality of the design of the IdeaPad 5 Slim, I have experience with the IdeaPad 5 (also all-metal) with Ryzen 3 5300u and the design is worse. This feels like an upper class ntb.
The version without OS is about 7 thousand cheaper. Installing the OS is not a problem, tested Win 11 Pro, completely compatible, someone stated that it is not compatible with Win 11, I can refute this based on my own experience. 🙂
Powerful processor I5 12450H.
16GB fast LDDR5 memory 4800mhz.
Fast operation, ntb with win11pro loaded in about 4-5 seconds.
Movable webcam cover.
Backlit keyboard.
Design.
USB charging.
I personally miss the fingerprint reader.
The ram is powered on board so future memory upgrades can' t be done but I think 16gb is quite sufficient today.
High price of version with pre-installed OS.
The i5 12450H is a bit of a glutton. 35-95w boost.
