A replacement for the old fridge, which had been in use for just over 15 years. It’s like stepping out of a Trabant and into a brand-new Mercedes. You can see the improved build quality; the walls are twice as thick, the lighting is, of course, now LED, there’s a door-open indicator, and Wi-Fi. The fridge is incredibly quiet; it just makes a soft humming sound. It has Wi-Fi connectivity and the LG ThinQ app, where you can switch the relevant modes on and off, or view energy consumption. The stainless steel design looks better in real life than in the product photos. It has a door-open indicator, which is definitely great – but not the first time you switch it on. Because until it reaches the required temperature, it keeps beeping due to the high temperature inside the fridge. So, as there’s no mention of this in the Czech version of the manual, and you can’t even switch this function off via the app (which I really don’t understand why), hold down the Freezer button for 3 seconds to turn off that annoying beeping. I’d just recommend reactivating it after you’ve had a cold. I mentioned the doors and shelves in my negative reviews; it is possible to rearrange them, but because the doors don’t open very wide, it’s a bit trickier to pull the shelf out and move it. But nothing tragic.
