It doesn't have a lid. When I hold it in my hand the grains fly out. And when I hold it pressed against the kitchen counter it is much noisier.
That gilded finish peels off extremely quickly.
For the price it has to be stainless steel not fake brass.
I'd like to return it but I don't think I can find anything better in this price range.
