Even compared to the basic Mac Mini M1 there is a big shift in performance, not in normal activity, there really can not tell the difference between M1 and M2 Pro and 8 or 16 GB RAM, macOS just runs great everywhere, but once you run iMovie or batch editing RAW, so the shift in performance is very noticeable. It's just a shame that Apple doesn't put a 512 GB SSD in the base, but when it doesn't, for example. nor Microsoft with their Surface and there even is possible to buy 4/64 GB, so the much better optimized macOS on 8/256 runs great. Just a great little guy with the power of a big computer.
