After the ankle distortion I needed a brace because I felt that it was still not stable and I was afraid that I would step on it again. But I can't imagine running or doing any sports in a brace. I loosened my shoes to the max and it still pushed a lot in some of them. So in the first few days after the swelling goes down it's a blast, but to prevent recurrences I would buy another, less robust one.

Next time I would take a size bigger than the table, it's too tight above the ankle and over the ankle, it's too tight and it doesn't last long.
It's very uncomfortable in a boot, unless you have some very loose boots, it will get in the way.
I can't imagine sporting that
When your ankle is still swollen or sore, it's very tight and painful in the shoe
