I purchased Surface because I wanted a tablet/laptop with the ability to use it occasionally at work for photoshop/lightroom, simple office work and occasional home or travel use for multimedia, etc. To get the most out of your device, you really need to buy a keyboard and stylus. For such a thin and compact device, there's really solid performance that can realistically be used to edit photos in Lightroom and, with a little patience, Photoshop. Temperatures can be an issue, with the back of the Surfac's aluminium chassis getting so hot during harder work that it's uncomfortable to touch and I'd say the CPU performance is degraded. You can also count on a maximum of two/three hours of battery life and very loud fan noise. The display is very pleasant, offers high resolution and is a joy to look at. You can easily calibrate it with the probe for accurate color work. Ssd is very easy to swap for a larger capacity, it's just a slight problem to get. When it comes to gaming, Surface has no problem running simple indie games or minecraft. Anything more demanding will burn out on the integrated graphics card. I am quite satisfied with the product and can recommend it.
