After downloading the correct drivers it works without problems on Win 7
Nothing to the adapter, just the Microsoft approach. To boost Win10 sales microsoft claims that it only works on Win 10 and they have not added drivers to previous versions of windows and yet it works without problems, you just have to search for it somewhere on the web.
