I use my laptop primarily as a workstation so I rarely handle it. I bought the stand to go with the external display to give me more desk space. It fulfilled its purpose excellently, the laptop is sturdily placed in a specific place and does not move until I deliberately remove it from the stand. At the same time, the display is a bit higher so it is more pleasant to look at. The only problem I have is that the protective pads are just peeling off the stand and I'm afraid it's going to end up on backorder at Alza soon.
