As someone else wrote, the whole thing is welded "crooked" on purpose to give it the strength to push against the door frame/wall. By adjusting the clamping force on one side / the other, both the distance and the height of the opening part can be beautifully precisely adjusted to fit the frame.

extensions (both) are much worse in terms of workmanship - flaking paint, hand-painted and refinished with glossier varnish.

The post is deflected welded on purpose, it's not the fault of the product as I read somewhere, it's because of the resistance, when it installs for example between the walls, so it's screwed down, the post that is deflected will push against the wall, which is correct, otherwise it would not hold.
