I'm just a "satisfied customer" I have no reason to keep anything quiet. I was really looking forward to Titan. But it's a laptop of opposites. World-class tech-no competing gaming laptop even comes close-DDR5 RAM 128GB, amazing processor. The competition only has to make do with DDR4 memory and a slightly worse processor. Titan is structurally capable of serving for many years. Compared to the 10-year-old MSI GT72-2QE-then also the world's top performer-it is significantly inferior in cooling and noise. The low build of the case and the use of titanium sheeting underneath made for an unpleasant noise tone and poor cooling of the internals. What doesn't matter with the office HP is there's a big problem. Comparison of MSI Titan 18HX with MSI GT72. The GT 72 has a case tailored for high performance cooling - free vents for cooling air flow inside the PC and large vents throughout the bottom surface of the plastic cover for cooling air intake. This reduces the demand on the cooling fans and thus the noise production. His wardrobe is about 1 cm taller. Titan has a fashionable low cabinet. And that's the problem-there are not enough vents in the cabinet for cooling air. The titanium plate underneath is poorly designed-it has few inlets and an even smaller diameter-air intake is limited. The titanium sheet is not easily drilled so existing holes cannot be enlarged. MSI Titan 18HX is literally a powerful but also whiny Ferrari. Noise is the only really annoying problem so far. It's a player's machine, not a designer's. A partier plays music at 130DB and some 70-80 DB from the fans doesn't bother him. Solution: it is necessary to limit the energy flows and thus the temperature increase inside the laptop. Connecting to an external monitor and turning off the PC monitor is a must. All auxiliary peripherals must be connected to an externally powered HUB- to reduce power flow to a minimum. A powerful cooling pad is a must. Even the CPU temperature of 19°C and 13°C for the graphics card is a reason to run the fans. For a closer look at the MSI Titan series, I recommend YouTube. The video shows that adding additional components to the MSI Titan series is a challenge due to the tight space and design. MSI TITAN 18 HX A14V - DISASSEMBLY AND UPGRADE OPTIONS https://www.youtube.com/watch? v=77qHW85cOus&t=707s The MSI Titan 18 HX has only one fly to pick but it's a nice butcher.
-High technical level and workmanship.
-Complete Czech keyboard with numerics. -Excellent Czech language in the SW environment of the laptop.
-Excellent MSI.CZ support - Titan registration will extend your warranty by 3 months i.e. from the 24th to the 27th.
-Several MSI service centers in the Czech Republic. (In Prague at Vinohrady)
-Win11Pro - pleasant transition from Win10Pro without any problems. -The keyboard has the same pleasant operation as the GT72-fact good.
-Backlit keyboard and touchpad- a matter of opinion.
-The new touchpad style is unusual but quick to get used to.
-Really tremendous HW performance with rich memory in both the processor and the graphics card.
-Sufficient connection points.
-High price for a Titan.
-Low build height of the laptop causes poor internal cooling. (design flaw)
-Titanium sheet with small holes for cooling also has poor acoustic properties - it deteriorates the noise tone.
-Unpleasant noise from the fans- almost always running at high speed.
-Just a gaming laptop not for the engineer (too noisy).
-Without mechanics
-Laptop physically has 2 M2 drives of 2TB each but the SW is made to be only a 4TB "C" drive. So there is no disk "D" but there is one free port for it.
-As a "D" drive, I recommend a high-speed external drive-Titan has mount points for it.
