I really love the Mühle R41, but it's not for beginners. This razor is very aggressive (I didn't know that when I bought it), so you need some time to get used to it. What really helped me was using the "ride the cap" technique — it makes the shave much smoother and reduces cuts. If you're switching from a mild razor, go slow, use short strokes, and don't apply pressure. Let the razor do the work (I mean it!). With the right technique, the R41 gives an incredibly close and satisfying shave. I have sensitive skin and coarse hair — a perfect recipe for irritation. Almost every razor I tried before either didn't shave close enough or left my skin red and burning. The R41 has been the most enjoyable for me once I learned how to use it properly. Fewer passes mean less irritation, and the shave stays smooth longer.
