Installing the windscreen camera and setting it up is very simple and quick. The camera holds very firmly in the holder.
The camera has a nice 4k image and a large wide angle of 140°.
The camera will alert the radar. All recordings can be played back in the NAVITEL DVR CENTER app after pairing with your phone, where. it is also possible to make camera settings. Unfortunately, the camera must still be plugged into the car ignition.

Small camera, attached by magnets. Charging through the holder, but only through the c-connector of the lighter. The 4k image ensures beautiful sharp lines, reading even small details. The night mode is darker, but still nice. It has an innovative power supply in the form of a supercapacitor. The ionistor guarantees use in both summer and winter. It also guarantees that you won't lose data even if you lose power. I am very satisfied with the camera. It meets my expectations. He's recording as I need him to. The camera is quite large. The magnets for connecting the camera to the holder are strong enough, I couldn't separate them and I don't want to try with more force to avoid breaking the holder. So I have to take the camera out with the holder.
The camera comes with a sufficiently long cable with a USB-C connector and a plug for a 12V socket. A better solution for me would be the original USB-A adapter, because this way the power supply for my camera took over the socket and I can no longer charge my phone while driving. The instructions are quite brief, but operating the camera is not too complicated and you can download the app to your mobile phone. I like the touch controls and I have to say the camera footage is good.

The camera has simple controls and can be set to English. Unfortunately every time I updated the firmware the camera reset to factory settings. The camera simply attaches to the windscreen with a suction cup and can be transferred to another car at any time. The picture quality is quite good both day and night. The GPS module could be faster and more accurate when changing speed. The only major drawback is the purchase price.

Quality images with compromises The NAVITEL R980 4K impresses at first glance with its sleek design and promise of high-end 4K recording. Unfortunately, in practice, the camera faces several problems that make it a less appealing choice than it might seem. Picture page: Pros:
The detailed 4K resolution (3840x2160p) captures even small details such as license plates and road signs.
The wide 140° angle of view covers the scene in front of the car and to the sides.
High-quality night recording thanks to the Sony IMX415 light sensor. Minuses:
Weaker image stabilization, which results in blurry shots on rough roads.
Recording in lower resolution (e.g. 1080p) does not deliver satisfactory quality, the image appears grainy. Features: Pros:
Integrated radar detector with warnings of fixed and mobile radars (unfortunately the database is not updated that often).
Wi-Fi connectivity for easy transfer of recordings to your phone.
GPS with "Navitel Navigator" function for navigation (GPS accuracy is unfortunately problematic). Minuses:
Parking mode does not work reliably, the camera does not start automatically when motion is detected. And all this is assuming that you buy the NAVITEL SMART BOX MAX cable, otherwise the parking mode does not work.
Controlling the camera using the touchscreen is not the most intuitive. GPS problems:
The biggest drawback of the camera is the non-functioning GPS. The signal is often lost, especially in cities or areas with dense development. This makes it impossible to use the navigation and radar detector functions reliably. In addition, the shielded front glass can make GPS reception even worse. Conclusion:
The NAVITEL R980 4K offers quality video recording, but GPS and control issues bring it down. If you are looking for a camera with reliable navigation and radar detection, this camera is unfortunately not a good choice. There are other models on the market that offer comparable image quality and features at a lower price. Recommendation:
Before buying a NAVITEL R980 4K camera, read reviews carefully and consider alternatives. If quality video recording is your priority, a camera might be enough. However, if you also require reliable GPS functionality, I recommend choosing a different model.

I recommend the camera due to the overall positive rating, except for the slower response to GPS speed changes I have nothing to complain about. The camera is easy to install, set up and operate. The mobile app lets you instantly view video and photo recordings, so you don't have to pull out your memory card and run to your PC. The video image corresponds to the claimed 4K quality, the image is not shaky. In my opinion, a good camera that meets my expectations.

Very intuitive installation and first start-up, everything can be set up very quickly on the camera itself thanks to the touch display, but I recommend immediately installing the application which has a very pleasant interface in which you can quickly orientate, because some buttons on the display can not be simply pressed. I recommend updating the camera firmware first, then setup.
It holds very well on the glass, even on the vertical glass of the bus. The image quality in 4K is excellent and even in the dark or rain, I was pleasantly surprised how good the image is even if you drive directly into the sun. It is also not possible to play back footage from the camera without the app.

The camera is a quality product that is worth at least trying out. I am satisfied with the camera. Installing the camera and turning it on for the first time is absolutely no problem. The camera mount is very high quality and the camera can be removed without removing the mount thanks to the magnetic mount. The image quality is very good. The only thing that I take as a flaw is the warning of approaching radar, because the first time you get really scared and the second thing is the need to install the application for viewing videos from Navitel, without it does not start. But otherwise I am absolutely satisfied with the camera and it will definitely fulfill its purpose.
