If I could give zero stars, they'd be there. I picked the bell because of the modern look, that's the only thing that's hilarious. At the time of purchase it was hot news, so I couldn't even study on the internet the failure rate or shortcomings. But after two and a half years of use, I can say it's a disaster. Now it has died completely, I can't wait for a claim or replacement (and they already replaced one after my first purchase).
Key deficiencies:
1) the installation is a disaster, for a person who is a little bit technically savvy it is somehow possible, but when I see their advertising crap on the web "easy installation", I want to punch them
2) the wifi in range has to be extra strong or amplified through an extender, even if I stand next to the bell with my phone and watch streams in full hd on it, it's not enough for the bell, I don't understand why, the data streams are up but he's already on half the signal and drops out, in practice, it means the doorbell is disconnected and you don't even know it, or the delay from it to the phone (before it notifies you that someone's ringing) is so huge that by the time you get to the door, the postman's gone. it happened so many times that the poor lady knew she had to wait till I got home and came.
3) the motion recording takes place with a long delay, we have a bell on the side wall, a mailbox under it, when they bring leaflets and stuff them into the mailbox, on the video recording I can see the top of my head as the mailman leaves (the delay is more than 5 seconds), but maybe it's an intended fiction - that is, if you want your wife not to see what time you leave for a beer and what time you return, it's a blast if you run in front of the camera fast enough, not only will you not be on video, it won't even register the movement!
4) I don't know about androind, but for iOS devices you can't change the tune it plays from your phone when someone rings. and the melody is so tragically quiet even at the highest volume that even if the bell works and rings, it's easy to just not hear it (even if you have a tel. in your pocket)
5) to list all the shortcomings would be enough for a bigger book, I can't help listing at least the main ones, a few things have improved over the last year and so despite the persistent shortcomings I was hoping with a kind of naivety that they would gradually tweak everything, but now that it has died completely and I have to buy something new, I would like to discourage potential buyers of this good-looking zgarb, it's not worth the money and causes so much anger that I wouldn't give half for it anymore
