When connected to a PC via cable (3.5 jack), they only work as headphones, not as a headset (the microphone is not functional). If you want to use these headphones as a headset to a PC, then only via bluetooth (I write this because in laptops there is usually a built-in BT module, but in stationary computers it is usually not).
