Larger sizes, if the memory is too close to the socket, the heatpipes can get in the way a bit. But it depends on the specific board.

I replaced the water cooling in the HAL assembly (AM4, 3900x), this cooler allowed me to evacuate and took out a radiator with 6 fans from the PC, plus I did not reconnect the top two temperatures on the CPU and the temperatures went down from 60 degrees idle to 39 degrees. But especially the PC is completely silent and almost inaudible.
