The suction cup is not very resistant to shifting or lifting, if you are buying for the reason that the child likes to play when eating and you want something that holds the stool on the plate, this will be useless for you

the two lids are definitely practical - one for heating and the other for storage.
Otherwise, it's a bowl like any other.
I don't know on what surface and under what circumstances the suction cup works. we haven't been able to find out yet.
