Excellent machine, unfortunately it has a major design flaw - the CPU fan (left) whistles, even at minimum speed, which is unpleasant especially when working in a quiet room. And you can hear it a few meters away. I will add that the fans are still running unless you turn it off in the bios. The whistling was confirmed by a few people in the area who I asked to listen. It becomes more pronounced at higher speeds. It's an unpleasant high frequency sound, with the frequency increasing a little more with speed. It is even louder if the laptop is not directly on a solid surface (i.e. is on a holder or cooling pad. Just lift it a little). I bought two (since I really liked it, I wanted to rule out a defect and try another piece) and they both had the same problem, so I returned them. After exploring the web, I found that many people are solving the exact same problem with the Omena 17 and 15, and a decent number of current gaming laptops from many other manufacturers. Apparently they have been addressing the increasing power consumption => heating of graphics and CPUs in these increasingly cooling-intensive machines for the last few years primarily with larger fans, but they don't pay that much attention to the overall cooling design, and this is how it turns out. if it's the coil whine of the fan coil, or if there's just airflow whining against some sharp edge. It's hard to say. Either way, it's wrong. The fact that gaming laptop fans can play vacuum cleaner or hair dryer under load is an expected thing. But the ear-pulling screeching certainly isn't. Too bad, it would have been the perfect laptop for me otherwise.
Top performance
Beautiful, clean and premium design. No unnecessary blinkers, cool signs and similar "decorations". The unknowledgeable will not know what is hidden inside, which is an advantage if you plan to carry the laptop, for example. to work and you find it inappropriate to put a "game console" on your desk
Great optical mechanical keyboard with addictive sound. On the other hand, some might be bothered by the fact that it clicks quite significantly, but I liked it very much.
Aluminum body, although the bottom + display cover is "just" a high quality rigid plastic
Nice IPS panel without PWM, although realistically it only has around 350nits (which is more than the manufacturer states). Fine for indoor use.
A whistling CPU fan that unfortunately trumps all the pros.
The charger is not GaN, plus this over a kilo brick has a nonsensical square shape.
The black plastic outer body is a fingerprint magnet, a classic.
It has surprisingly sharp corners, I was a bit worried that it would tear the backpack due to the weight.
Springy display handles - more/longer knocking when handling. A small thing.
