I couldn't test the laptop without risk because it's impossible to comfortably replace the M.2 drive, as a heat pipe runs over it, which would mean having to take apart half the internals. I'm certainly not doing that on a new device that costs 80 grand, especially when you can buy it 10 grand cheaper anywhere else. Usually, with a new laptop, I always swap the drive, install a clean OS, and check if its performance is up to scratch. Here, I couldn't even let it go through the installation process because Windows 11 required a Microsoft login, which would have linked the laptop to my account, and then I might not have been able to return it. So, that's a no-go. And backing up the data with Acronis didn't work either because of the active BitLocker, which can apparently only be turned off after installation and logging into MS. Another thing – the keys on the laptop are ridiculously squashed together, making it uncomfortable to work on. The up and down arrow keys are extremely small. What a dreadful machine. For 80k, I'd expect a completely different level of comfort. You really don't want this; I'm not about to let HP dictate what I have to put up with for that kind of money.

I have no idea, the manufacturer didn't even allow me to test the device properly.

Keys are too close together for comfortable typing and general use.

Impossible to replace the primary M.2 without having to take apart half the internals.

Impossible to back up the contents of the disk due to active BitLocker.

Forcing you to sign in to a Microsoft account

I decided to just pack it up and return it, as any further disappointment might have resulted in me chewing up my laptop and voiding the warranty.
