I have owned a beuer BF 700 for several years and thought that buying an Omron scale would be an improvement.
Synchronisation with the phone never happened the first time, always on the second or third time

Compared to my scale from a certain chain store, VIVA has more consistent weighing results that I can apparently trust. Folks, the weighing is pretty quick and the diagnosis will impress even an agnostic. As I have read and subsequently confirmed, it is ideal to perform it at the same time and preferably in the same layers of clothing (e.g. in your underpants only).

I bought this weight because monitoring the development of my own weight in the application and connecting with other apps in the mobile phone is an excellent motivating factor if you want to lose weight. Related to this are other data that the weight gives you, such as fat ratio, vicereal fat, muscle, etc. At the same time, the Omron brand is a guarantee of measurement accuracy. As we are a larger family, my wife and daughter welcomed the opportunity to monitor our own profile - at the same time on different mobile operating systems. On Android, there is a bit of confusion in the applications in Google play, I downloaded one, connected it and then all the data was transferred to the other, which was offered to me for download. however, it now works fine: ) If the data transfer via BT fails, just run it a second time and it will work without any problems. When setting up the application for the first time, be a little patient, because the application is sensitive to ask a lot of things, whether yes or no (such as storing data in the cloud, etc. ) ).

As for the body fat measurement, it was showing me a completely nonsensical figure, apparently just calculated by weight, height etc, because it matched from a completely different app where you enter that data and it shows the likely data.
I compared it with the Profi device purely for measuring fat in the gym with a trainer and it showed about 6% less.
So unusable and I returned it.

Weigh consistently not only weight but also other parameters such as % fat or muscle.
Perfect for tracking %fat. Maybe it doesn't show an exact number to us atypical people but it measures consistently so you can see if fat is going up or down and you can adjust your training/diet accordingly.
This is my 4th scale and only this one measures consistently. On the others (including one that was in the same price range) the fat and muscle value jumps +- 1% which has zero predictive value. This scale shows a variation of about +- 0.1%.
Omron connect can be easily paired with Samsung Health or Google Fit where it sends all data. Samsung health and Google Fit can be further paired with, for example, Calorie Tables or MyFitnessPal. Where do you keep your diary. A huge help
It just works. This is the third smart scale. They stopped working. Especially if they rely on the cloud which as the product ages the manufacturer stops paying/supporting and the scale remains non-functional (hello iHealth).
Data is downloaded via Bluetooth directly to the mobile phone. The advantage over WiFi is that it just works. The other ones that went over Wifi still had some problems and I spent a lot of time troubleshooting. And I have an enterprise grade WiFi solution at home.
It stores data (also) locally and so it will work even if I "turn off the internet" one day; -)
Automatically recognizes the user. So far, it always recognizes any "kiks" and always correctly.
So far, the best scale I've had.
A bit more complicated uploading to mobile. After untethering, press the "set" button on the cam, then the button with the bluetooth symbol, then turn on the omron connect app on your mobile, swipe up to start syncing data. Well, after a while you get used to it. Maybe it can be easier, but I haven't figured out how
It's made of glass. Do not put on the buckle when washing the bathroom. The buckle starts to spin and the weight breaks on the tiles: -P
