Catastrophic experience! I return and buy another - from another brand.
removable plates
I return the toaster after the first use! I don' t know if I have the wrong piece (which I doubt) or the one who invented it didn' t think, but after inserting the toast to prepare the toasts, the toaster can hardly be closed! The plates are too shallow, so the toast (or whatever) will remain thin (like a pancake) after closing the toaster and the toast filling (cheese, etc. ) will spill out! I didn' t have such a problem with the original (my old toaster)! So I know this is a product defect, not my clumsiness 😃

It works as it should on a cheap toaster, and for the price even with the replacement plates it was a good buy.
Unfortunately it is really hard to clean - the exchange plates can be cleaned, but the body and hinges are a problem as there are holes to the electronics and water should not get in there.
