The plastic design looks a little flimsy, but there's a disc in it, so I won't mess with it: )
If you need to save space, you'll miss the stand, this piece has been perfectly adapted for a horizontal position. Even the USB 3.0 connector has a horizontal A-type location instead of the usual B-type, presumably to maintain symmetry. Nice detail, but not entirely practical, I don't have another A-A cable, so I mustn't misplace this one.
works reliably even on new HW with Win11 (unlike Axagon)
even though it is a screwless design, the disc holds perfectly in place
Built-in power supply with a cord that won't fall out if you accidentally trip over it or move the drive a bit (unlike the pin on most external power supplies)
on/off button that you don't have to keep looking for somewhere in the back where you can't see it
