no fan - so almost no noise
I put in a 16 TB HDD, no problems
it also works in Win PC, but mainly I have it with android player (Zidoo) and it works fine
overall I am very satisfied
speed via USB3 comparable to Gbit LAN. so for me there is the limitation
I recommend a quiet HDD, I bought the cheapest 16TB HDD, and it is a bit noisy. this is not a problem of this box, but for info
