The new version has almost the same dimensions as the original all-plastic version (no longer available), but it has an aluminium top and plastic feet that screw in from the bottom, fit perfectly and then everything looks like one base. The feet have non-slip rubber and here it is a pity that they are not aluminum, or that at least the front and back are not aluminum. While this would probably increase the price slightly, the look would be more consistent as the black plastic is rather very dark grey compared to the black aluminium. It's not downright distracting and you might miss it at first glance, it could be called an interesting design element, but it might not be to everyone's taste. Except for this small detail, the stand looks better and feels more robust compared to the plastic version, but of course it is also more expensive.

I would give five stars, but the lack of dimensions of the usable top surface won't let me.
It's really solid.
The description gives the dimension that corresponds to the bottom, not the top, which we need to know. I bought this under a 27 inch ASUS and at home I found it small.
