As far as I'm concerned, it's probably the best retirement phone (in the price range) I've come across. I was pleasantly surprised by the external light switched on by a slider on the right, even when the phone is switched off, so the phone can easily serve as a small flashlight. (The light is not on the back, as the flash is used for lighting, but on the top, so it is naturally aimed like a flashlight)
Operation and Menu is very simple.
The directional key is only up and down. In the "Settings" menu, the * and # keys are used to move the scroll bars left and right, but you only have to do the settings once at first and then you don't usually go there.
On the main screen, the Up key is a shortcut to a quick submenu - e.g. texting.
The down key leads to set alarms - here I would rather like it to offer a list of contacts (these are under the right menu button)
It can also record videos in avi format, although no one would probably think of doing so in that quality - but you won't find this option under "Camera", but under "Multimedia".
I have not tried the SOS button, so I cannot comment on its sensitivity and functionality.
And only time will tell the quality of workmanship.

"no" internal memory, so you can't take photos right away - but at least you can still use the old 1 or 2 GB cards
the speaker is on the "back" of the phone - you can't balance the ringtone volume very well - when lying down it's quieter, when holding it it's too loud again
the phone I bought had a sticker under the SIM port (some remnant of the dualSIM variant? ) and it took me a while to figure out where (2 possible "mezzanines" ) and how to put the SIM
the down arrow does not lead directly to the contacts
