I need a rotary curling iron and even though I returned the HP8664 about a year ago because of concerns about the condition of the natural bristle tabs after prolonged use, I now bought the HP8665 - it has BOTH spinning and natural bristle tabs, it fits very well in the hand
I believe that the natural shadows will soon recede

great for semi-long hair (I have experience with a large brush)
hair is not frizzy, shiny, fluffy and sleek
the hair curls and dries nicely on the brush
from my side I really recommend
The Philips HP8664/00 does not have the same small brush type as the large brush type compared to the Philips HP8665. I don't use a small brush, so it doesn't bother me. I can not so judge the plastic retractable spikes on the small brush.
it took me a while to learn how to curl my hair on a brush.
