Assembly. If the electricity supply from the inside of the ceiling or wall is inside the light, then OK. If you need to feed the cable externally, there is no cutout or grommet, so it is not possible to make the light face the wall surface. I had to grind out the hole for the cable, even knowing the warranty would be voided.
