I was tempted by the offer of 1+1 for free. Unfortunately, I only read one professional review that sounded enthusiastic, but I didn't think to look at the reviews on the biggest e-shop until I started having major problems. It is clear from hundreds of reviews that the hardware, when people manage to get it working, is great, but the software, which is no less important today, spoils it all to the point of complete unusability. I expected much, much more from Philips.
He sounds great when he plays
When used with a PC (high-end machine, wifi 6) about five seconds delay between picture and sound, the same with a mobile (samsung galaxy note 20 Ultra)
When playing music via mobile, the screen must remain lit, otherwise the music stops after a while, and it can only be played from the special Philips Sound app, but fortunately there is an option to force the display to light up, because the manufacturer knows about the problem - but useless battery. Not all streaming services (e.g. YT Music and others) - this applies to music over wifi, low quality can be transferred over bluetooth
If you want to link two or more speakers, you have to pay a $15 fee for the pro version of the PlayFi app, that's not a problem, but it should be mentioned. The license code does not come automatically after payment, you must request it by email from PlayFi Support
Some songs won't play at all, they play as if blank with no sound, often the music starts playing in the middle of the song by itself or on the contrary stops playing and plays silently
Initial setup via the official app takes about 20 minutes for a tech-savvy person, which wouldn't be such a problem if everything worked, but this just adds to the overall negative picture
I updated the repro firmware to the latest version right away, these are all problems AFTER the update - the manual states that some basic functions won't run without the update
