The cable works exactly as it should - that is, it connects a monitor with an older DVI interface to a modern graphics card with a DP port.
While I'm not personally a fan of these converters (and certainly wouldn't use this for my primary monitor), it does the job well and I haven't noticed any issues. Of course, high refresh rates are probably beyond the capabilities of this converter, but someone who needs such low latency should not use reducers anyway and prefer to go for a straight cable.

According to AlzaExpert's answers to questions about this product, the cable should work in the mentioned configuration. But it doesn't work at any Hz above 60. So I'll ask the experts to reconsider. I needed to connect a monitor with DVI input to a computer with DisplayPort output, but the cable doesn' t work. The monitor and computer are OK, the connection works via a different cable. I tried three different monitors with DVI input, it doesn' t work with either. For interest, I tried the opposite connection, connect the monitor with DisplayPort input to a computer with DVI output, but it also does not work. The cable is completely useless: (Maybe it' s just a faulty piece, I don' t know. Anyway, when I bought another cable here on Alza, specifically https://www.alza.cz/hp-displayport-na-dvi-d-d269073. htm plus https://www.alza.cz/alzapower-dvi-d-na-dvi-d-dual-link-propojovaci, so they work great for me.
