I certainly don't want to be one of those (and I'm not supposed to be) who judge others' reviews. However, I found the review by Mr Miroslav from Povážská Bystřice very unfair to say the least. I bought the same turntable (Pro-Ject Debut S Phono HG). Special price and even reduced due to unpacking. The product is in perfect condition, no "scratches" on the lacquered parts (I rather regret that the top plate is a bit too shiny and you can see the touch of every finger on it, maybe a matt like the arm would be more suitable), the holders for the dust cover are perfectly straight. For the money, it is a great audiophile gramophone (and it is equipped with a relatively high quality Sumiko cartridge at a price of about 4500 money). I take the liberty to compliment the former Tesla Litovel for the minimalist perfect design, precise execution of the S arm (of which I am a fan) without any clearances. I don't know if Mr. Miroslav had the bad luck of an extremely slightly unsuccessful piece, but to compare this product at this price level with Chinese s. y, whether it is Dual, Audiotechnics and others I just don't understand. In conclusion. Since my youth I still have a working and now with Grado Prestige Green 3 insert still perfectly playing Tesla HC 43 (it just needed some tinkering with the arm setting). A super machine for its time, even with the limit switch. And the new, much younger bass makes me equally happy, especially when I play my vintage vinyls, which are still made using classic analogue tape recording.
