This is a DAS, not a NAS. An offline version of the NAS that essentially functions as an external drive with hardware RAID capability. The primary idea behind the product was the ability to expand an existing NAS without investing in a new unit. I was looking for an external drive option with hardware RAID capability and this device is probably the only one I found on the Czech market. The design is nice, it has USB-C (unfortunately only 5gbps) and the whole product looks good. Compared to its bigger brother with 4 plates, it is able to get to higher speeds in raid0 (about 1.6 X increase). The only shame is the older USB-C version, where you can't use the full potential of 2.5 SSDs in RAID0.
