When I ordered the bed I expected it to be no good. But I was hoping for a pleasant surprise. The brand shumee does not exist it is an Alza pseudonym, such as. Rapture, or Siguro. This is a vidaXL bed and it is a very questionable company. After seeing the bed at the pickup point, I didn't believe it would fit in such a small box, and after hauling the bed to my car and losing the pegs and pads from the box along the way, I didn't believe anything anymore. At home I unpacked the bed and all the parts that should have been in the smaller cardboard box were scattered all over the box. Some parts of the wood were slightly bruised or scuffed, but nothing terrible. What struck me, however, was that the bed smelled horribly of paint or glue. After about an hour, my girlfriend and I got a terrible lung burn. I had the bed aired out in the hallway, but it didn't help much. Despite all this, I tried to fold the bed, but the individual slats crumbled under their own weight. I'll probably go back tomorrow unless I have another bout of courage.
