I'm returning the microphone because I realized that a person who just wants to record something every now and then, it's cheaper to rent it for an hour or two in a normal recording studio, where there are professionals, than to play with it all at home.
good sound quality
designed for hobby rather than professional work.
installation is very easy also thanks to the included manual in picture form, I appreciate it extremely.
The microphone is really very sensitive, so for recording you will need spaces where outside sound will have to be eliminated.
Rode advertises that this Studio Kit should produce a hiss-free, noise-free effect on the recording. but I couldn't achieve this effect even when watching various tutorials on the internet and in a maximally quiet room.
It's such a basic, fundamental thing, but to achieve good sound quality, it takes some knowledge of audio engineering and of course one needs more equipment to make it all work well.
I have mixed feelings about it, because on youtube this microphone is reviewed a lot, both good and bad, but I think that the good reviews consist in the fact that you have additional accessories to make it work cleanly and nicely, and the bad reviews are from people like me, who have tried it only in this basic version, which offers a studio kit box.
