I don't hear any sum unless I wake up the microphone so much that everything gets distorted and "clipped" anyway. Although this is probably primarily a feature of the sound system itself.
The price is a bit absurd for 2 connectors with one transformer inside a fancy metal box. Holt niche product with low demand, otherwise competitors would sell it for a third of the price
