With modern Samsung washing machines (including this WW11DG5B25AE), as soon as you press the Start button, a so-called safety drain cycle runs. For about 15 to 30 seconds, the machine turns on the drain pump to pump out any residual water from the last wash or any condensation. Without the missing plastic flap in the drawer, which the manufacturer nonsensically doesn't supply as standard with this machine, the one where you pour the laundry gel, exactly what you don't want to happen, happens: You pour the gel into the empty compartment. The gel immediately flows down by gravity into the drain labyrinth and to the pump under the drum. You start the machine, and the first thing it does is start draining – so your expensive laundry gel goes straight down the drain before a single litre of clean water for the wash has even filled the machine. It's unbelievable that with a washing machine costing more than ten thousand crowns, you have to perform such a ritual and lurk by it like a guard dog until the pump stops draining just so you can pour in the laundry gel. It's an absolute design failure on the manufacturer's part. You buy a modern appliance to save you time, and in the end, you're standing by it, listening to the sound of the pump, just to stop your expensive laundry gel from going straight down the drain. 😇

Compared to its predecessor (10 years old), with which I was very satisfied, it has almost the same control, which suits me. It is simple and easy. The program names/descriptions were not very good, when it is difficult to guess what they are good for or what things they are good for. On the other hand, there is no prog. for sports stuff, which I liked to use on the old model. Or Bedding at 2kg to 40 C? In the final I use 4 spinning programs (cotton, wool, synthetic, fast) with freely adjustable temperature, rpm and speed. and additive cycles. The big minus is the lack of independent centrifugation (it is only with the shaking). Perhaps it can be added via phone, I haven't tried that yet.
