Since I spotted a Samsung promotion while surfing to buy devices with discount codes, I decided to write this review.
As for the phone, an absolute bomb. I've had everything, and I sometimes change phones more often than I change socks, but this one is different. When closed, it takes you back to a time when phones could be operated with one hand and people didn't walk down sidewalks with their hands in front of them like when you need to get to the fridge at night and the house lights are out. Yes, the front display is small for typing out long texts, but it's enough for quick content consumption, and you can open the phone if you need to and it's a whole different story. I use the camera on my phone about once a year, and even then only for things like taking pictures of the doctor's office hours. This camera isn't a blockbuster winner, but it doesn't offend, it's good. I haven't used the selfie camera yet. I mean, never in my life and never anywhere. So I can't serve. The weight is not a problem, I could tolerate a higher weight if it means longer battery life. The pen works very well and today you can get phone cases where you can keep the pen on your phone all the time and not carry it around in your pockets (I don't mean the original Samsung flip case, that's a tragedy). DEX works perfectly and the "Secret folder" feature, meaning "as far as apps go, two phones in one" is a nice bonus. 6 stars out of 5 if we ended up here.
But
Bonus. At the time I was buying it, Samsung was offering a bonus. Buying old equipment at a discounted price, which in my case was about 1000 euros. I sent them all the details, they approved the bonus and let me download the discount voucher through their Samsung Members app. I run the app, no voucher (token). I'm not going to drag this out, the matter has been going on for a long time and we exchanged a lot of emails and photos and documents with the Samsung people, they acknowledged that there are problems with the app, but there is one fact. After a couple of weeks they stopped communicating completely and I could forget about the bonus. So if Samsung's purchase bonus is an enticement to anyone, watch out for surprises.
The next thing is completely fresh. After three months, a patch of dead pixels about 3x4 millimeters in size appeared on the internal display. With a phone that lives on the table, in its packaging from day one, it goes nowhere and opens twice a day or so. One morning there was just an orange blob. I don't want to get ahead of myself, I don't know yet how Samsung will judge the warranty, but a cursory glance at the Internet, how they handle these cases in the world and the purchase bonus anabasis makes me a little nervous.
