wringing is really problematic, if the laundry is not evenly spread across the drum, it just doesn't wring. So the ability to wash a pillow, dog bed and other not-quite-symmetrical pieces can almost not be wrung out.
I bought a 9kg washing machine so I could wash bigger pieces, but the 13 year old washing machine at least wrung it out.
if I wash in washing powder and not washing gel, some of the powder remains on the washing machine door even after wringing
