I've been buying this for toasting bagels, paninis, burritos or large American 13cm toast and it's 100% usable for that. I'm satisfied. Otherwise, the drawer is very nice, and these cheap ones usually don't have one.
Absolutely sufficient for baking baguettes, paninis, tortillas but also fish, chicken steaks and burgers. I haven't tried pork steaks or beef, but it's probably not ideal. I've only bought it for paninis and toast, and it satisfies 100%
It's 100% hot within 2 minutes of plugging it in. It has no regulation, so it runs at full speed, which is fine.
The surface is really good quality for the price. I use bamboo and silicone wipes, but it's still fine.
Washing is more difficult due to the inability to remove the grates, but it is possible. It just takes a dry rag, then a wet rag, and after wiping it off you burn it and you're done: -)
Probably just that the grates don't come off, but for the money I can't ask for that: -) It's otherwise very nice.
