The baking plates of this toaster oven are definitely not Teflon. The waffle plate in particular has nothing to do with non-stick, even if it is carefully cleaned with a napkin and brushed with oil before pouring the batter. Working with this device is pure horror, the waffles cannot be removed without tearing as massive toasting occurs. The plates are maintained according to all the rules of care for non-stick (Teflon) surfaces.
