The kettle is one big disappointment. The main reason for the purchase was the wide choice of water heating temperature. However, this function does not work on either of the two pieces I got my hands on after the initial complaint. The only way to reach the selected temperature is through the "Keep warm" mod, but it takes an extremely long time to heat up to 60 degrees. I am therefore returning the product for the second time with a certain amount of indignation and extreme dislike for the Sencor brand, and this time I am choosing to return it for a refund.
For those who don't want to spend two hours trying to get the kettle to heat the water to a temperature other than boiling and avoid frustration, I recommend choosing one of the alternatives.
Otherwise, the product is aesthetically pleasing and the control base is responsive and accurate. It is all the more unfortunate that it does not fulfill its primary purpose. Nice as a kitchen paperweight, though.
