Pairing and using it with the mobile app is (at least on an iPhone) a piece of cake; the instructions are in the paper manual
It really only responds to the controller when it is pointed directly at the sensor, which is also moving with a horizontal oscillation
When the tower is at rest, it is not possible to estimate the extent of the rotation, as the entire tower is rotating and there is therefore no reference point. I think I’ll add some stickers to the base.
