Workmanship and material. Yes it's cheaper, it's enough for my cottage, but for that price I would expect much better quality. I do not recommend it for the kitchen, for example, the plastic, weak handles are unusable. I've had a Hailo in my kitchen for 8 years without failure - it's much more robust, the plastics are better and the wire handles don't fall out. The body of the baskets, including the lid, is also much more robust in the slightly more expensive competitors
