On the plane, the adapter only worked with the Chinese plug, and not at all on the others, even though the sockets were universal.
The fork for Chinese sockets is too short = after a slight pull it loses contact. I had to secure the adapter in the socket with my backpack.

I'm sitting in a hotel in Japan right now wondering where the hell I went wrong. You can't go to Japan! Although it says here. In Japan there are 2-pole sockets in particular and this doesn't fit here. Thank you so much for dragging this big thing around Asia like a backpacker. I can throw it in the trash and save space. Know this so I can make my own mini adapter to a US plug that would fit here.
