If the tallow is applied in winter, of course it can be. But it's better in late summer or autumn to allow it to "stretch" into the rubber. Yes, the stick leaves visible traces, but this is only a temporary phenomenon of solid fat. I mean, the product is great, you just have to accept that it will leave a fatty coating for a few days before it soaks into the rubber.

I was expecting a larger package and not a tiny bar. I've painted the rubber seals with a stick and the door doesn't freeze. Maybe regular deer tallow would have sufficed, but I chose Sonax since it's for the car.
