lots of functions and shooting modes, nice photos even in low light and low price. I recommend it as a handheld camera, especially for those who already have a camcorder. Otherwise, I would recommend a higher class.

I wanted an inexpensive camera for on-site documentation, but one that would take usable "first time" photos. It will accommodate this use.
Reliable product with a low percentage of complaints.
It takes very good macro photos if you choose the right focus and exposure. (I guess I made a mistake and thought that changing the default settings would get better results. )
The automatic scene recognition works very well, no need to "fiddle" with modes and settings.
Quick start and focus.
A wide-angle lens is a must for shooting indoors, so a minimum focal length of 26 mm (eq. 35mm film) is very advantageous.
I consider the zoom "only" 5x to be an advantage. For documentation, this is amply sufficient and the optical quality is not "compromised" by chasing the useless size of the zoom range.
Good LCD display.
Size and weight for shirt pocket. The retracted lens does not protrude from the body and has a dust cap that closes automatically.
It allows, among other things. store photos directly in 5 MPx resolution. Nobody will ever get good quality 20 MPx out of a cheap camera anyway, so this resolution is optimal in terms of saving storage capacity and faster processing on the computer.
Uses SD cards
According to TECHRADAR.COM, it is the 10th among the top 10 compact cameras for 2015. But since it is the cheapest of the 10, we can say that it is probably the best product in the $100 price range.
The silver one will heat up less in the summer and so will have less noise; -)
For a cheap camera it looks great, nothing creaks, it's nice to use and the limitations imposed by the price are well minimised. The fact that the device is well thought out in detail is evidenced by the fact that the strap could be threaded through easily and without the use of tools. The fact that the product is still available, even though the manufacturer offers successors, is a testament to its success.
Steady Shot without gyroscope EIS is Electronic Image Stabilization.
SteadyShot mode is slow.
Point and shoot camera. Nothing for the advanced photographer who wants to play with settings.
There are few settings and the PDF manual does not deal with them at all. In the instrument menu, the functions are described in just one sentence.
Czech translation of the menu could be better.
The reference manual exists only in online HTML and is not translated into English.

Macro mode is not a standalone program, it is either recognized by the device or not. But when he recognizes it and focuses it correctly, the result is great.
The battery is charged in the camera. I would like a separate charger more to be able to charge a second battery. Again, you can charge the camera on the PC while downloading photos.
Single connector for USB and A/V. Cable for connection to TV not included.
Limited number of scene modes: High sensitivity, Night scene, Night portrait, Landscape, Portrait, Beach, Snow, Gourmet, Pet
