I bought the NAS to share multimedia content between multiple devices in my home. It fulfills this purpose perfectly (via SMB and NFS). I use it with the fan off and the temperature of the drive (WD RED 1 TB SSD) ranges from 31 to 37 degrees during the day. The processor temperature is kept at 40 degrees.
