Isolation is not. The kettle is boiling to the touch. I didn't read that anywhere. At that price, I'd expect something else: /

when pouring, it doesn't stink around
when I use it, there is no risk of scalding my hand like with my old kettle
I had an old ETA for almost 20 years, nothing wrong with it, just a resistance wire, a switch (which eventually went out). With this one with a lot of electronics, I'm worried it will just about last the warranty and I'll go for a new one.
