I must praise the automatic night backlight (which can be turned off completely) - it is very subtle and does not disturb at night. In reverse, this means that the display is hard to read from a greater distance. However, the alarm clock is usually only about 0.5-1.0 m from the head, so this should not be a problem. However, if you (like my wife) want to look at it at night from 3 meters away, you'll be returning the alarm clock like me: -). But it's not the alarm clock.
The alarm clock is otherwise equipped with a Light/Snooze button on the top, which when pressed, the backlight increases significantly for a few seconds.

From my point of view, an absolutely perfect alarm clock, both in terms of functions and design.
One time (so far) the alarm went off. The batteries were OK, the display showed everything as it should, only the clock just stopped. Removing and reinserting the batteries helped.
