To add context to the review - I've only used roof racks before, and I absolutely did not trust this to hold two not-quite-lightweight bikes on broken roads on just a ball. But I was wrong and I'm glad I bought this carrier. I use with Skoda Fabia Combi III. generations. At first it took me a while to find a suitable screw-in mechanism on the ball, but since then it's been set up one-two. The wheels are great to put on the rack, basically you just need to lift the handlebars a little bit and then just slide the wheel to jump on the rack, so you don't need much force (there you can use the fact that you can spread the rails that hold the wheels and you get a little ramp above the ground). Folding it down when you need to get into the boot via the carrier works fine, it just takes a bit more force to push the pedal that locks the folding mechanism. Or push a little against the car over the arm that holds the frame brackets. The carrier weighs something, but it's not a big deal. Overall, it is robust and I have no problem believing it will do the job for a long time to come. Definitely recommended.
