I had Thule roof racks on my previous car for 13 years, without the slightest problem. With the purchase of the SUV, I switched to a hitch rack so I wouldn't have to haul the wheels to the roof. The carrier is sturdy, easy to fold, relatively light and fits in the trunk. Three 27.5" wheels fit without any problems. When using it for the first time, it's a good idea to play around with it and remember the best combination of wheels and pedal rotation to get the wheels to fit together well. Then it goes very quickly. The wheels hold together nicely, they don't wobble like on a roof rack.
However, it is not an ideal solution for a station wagon with a long rear overhang.

In the beginning we struggled a bit with the bike composition (we have two 29" coil-sprung bikes and one 20" kids' bike. But it just takes practice, both attaching the bracket to the car and putting the wheels together. But with each application and removal, the installation time is reduced. For the two adult bikes (frame 20" and 22") we also secure the bikes in the ski with a strap for the dryer, because they are only just long enough. Next year we will be buying a reduction for the 4th wheel. So far we've only had 16" in the trunk. Overall satisfaction, definitely recommended. It can be bought even at a special price.
