The camera worked at home, in the car when moving it did not record even though there was a sd card, after the second complaint (when there was supposedly nothing wrong with it) it started in the car. But it switches off and on, so we can say that it performs its function about 10-15%. Out of ten trips, it will record one without shutting down. Other paths are simply turned off and on. U almost flew out the window a few times while driving, but I always tell myself I can still claim it: -). I don't recommend buying.

I am more than satisfied with the quality of the recording due to the price, but there are a lot of negatives.
the rear camera connects to the body, not to the magnetic holder, so the magnetic design is useless if you always have a cable left in the camera
has no battery! without power it doesn' t even work to take a photo
extremely clumsy and non-intuitive operation
if it is constantly energized, it will not turn off automatically. If it is energized only when the engine is running, it has no functions for monitoring a parked car (it is common to respond to a shock and start recording from the battery, this model does not allow this)
the gps module and the rear camera are constantly blue, not very bright, but at night it sometimes looks like there are beacons behind you
there is no power port on the body, so it is not possible to use it in the hand, it is functional only in the holder, due to the fact that it does not have a battery
the manual states that it supports a 64GB card, but recording in a loop only stores about 36GB (about 5 hours. recording when I have both cameras), the card is not used in full
the sound of the notification of immediate measurement and the section measurement is identical
The clock behaves strangely, the last one showed me more than 24 hours, probably untouched winter / summer time is to blame
I still have to reset the clock, and I hardly turn off the camera and it' s 24/7 live
There is a “TrueCam“ logo in the records, it can' t be hidden as if they had something to brag about.
I would like to return it, but there are not many alternatives with two cameras in the price category.

If you buy an SD card of at least class 10, you can choose SDXC or SDHC, but you have to be careful how you format the card, because I have an SDXC card and there is a default format exFAT and the camera does not take it, so I had to reformat the card on FAT32 and already works. If windows does not offer the FAT32 format, it is necessary to use some utility that can, I used the Linux distribution Gparted.

The camera holds on to it perfectly, however the camera can only be positioned on the holder forwards and backwards (up and down) and it also holds on it crookedly (falls to the left) and the retention runs out quite quickly and then does not hold at all. I don't know what impressed the buyers who gave this camera a 5/5 star rating. I chose this camera because I liked the look, the features and once fitted it fits well in my car as if it was part of it from the factory, but unfortunately it has let me down and it is money wasted. The camera only works when I start the engine, because that's how I have the electrical system in the car set up, and when it's in on mode, it turns off/on quite often and only stops when I unplug it, wait 20 seconds, and then turn it back on (sometimes it doesn't work the first time and I have to repeat it a second/third time). At first I thought I had a problem in the car's battery, and sure enough I already had a weak battery, but it wasn't that, because after replacing it with a fresh new one, the problem persists, although not all the time, but at least twice a week for sure, and when I drive more often, several times during the day. But since it's a fixable problem on the spot by me, I'm not advertising it - I don't want to wait 30 days for a service verdict that there's nothing wrong with the camera with a recommendation to have the car's electrics checked because of such things: ), you know, but I believe this is only a defect of one product out of a hundred produced, so it is not so much a negative as a possible occurrence of such a defect. Among the negatives I rather include the software features and the instructions for them. I still haven't figured out how to use GPS through the camera. I suspect that the GPS here is only for finding the location via the camera, rather than for navigation (I wouldn't use it anyway, as the camera has a small display and it wouldn't be safe either). I didn't find radar detection, although I wouldn't want to use it, but I don't know if I have it on or not, and if it's actually there. Even before anything GPS I would rank very difficult to use - many times one has a problem to get even only to the date and time settings and not to other functions, so by the time I manage to click through, I have nerves in a bucket and lost time. More than once I almost threw the camera out the window because of it. If I have an accident and need to show the police a record, I don't stand a chance because I haven't even gotten to that function. I'm not saying it isn't, but the very complex camera controls make it hard to discover the camera's functions. You can throw the manual in the trash, as you will only understand how to mount the camera and how to plug it into the power. You won't read anything essential to the functions of the camera, and how to operate it. Many times it happens to me that the recording doesn't automatically turn on at all, yet it is set, and I have to turn the recording on manually, so I'm already at the end of my trip and only then I find out that the camera didn't record at all (yes, I should have checked before the trip, but you just don't deal with such things and notice it randomly and for the price of the camera I would expect, that these functions would not deactivate by themselves) and many times it happened to me while driving, that I was standing at a red light and the camera did not record after the car moved, so if I was involved in a car accident, I have no proof and I could only thank the manufacturer for making a camera that does not help the victim, but rather the perpetrator of the car accident. And I will stay with recording, many times it happens to me that when I check via PC if the camera recorded the whole video, I find that the car camera, which was supposed to record an hour-long journey and recorded everything during the whole journey, but still did not capture the essential points of the video, better to say, there are only a few seconds of the video and not the whole video. Despite the fact that I had a very difficult time setting the settings to record the entire video, the camera does its own editing, so in the event of a crash I would not have footage of the moment of the collision. It may be suitable for those who make videos professionally and earn money from it, but such edits are not suitable for people who get a camera because of damage to their property - their car. I gave it one full star, but if that were an option, this camera would only get half stars, even if only for somehow working. I have 4K recording set on the camera, and having already played back even those edited videos on my 4K ultraHD TV for a test, I doubt that the camera produces 4K quality recordings - it's not essential, but if that's the reason for the price, I confirm that the camera has 4K only on paper, but the reality is different and therefore not worth the price. Alza should think very hard in the future whether it is the right place to offer these M7 car cameras from TrueCam to customers.
